Providing Opportunities for Women (POW) is a student organization that aims to promote women in business and leadership roles. Our mission is to educate, inspire, and empower women to reach their full professional potential through networking, mentorship, and guidance in collaboration with peers and influential women in business.
Our organization hosts a variety of weekly events. Consisting of our Speaker Series Events, workshops, socials, and more!
In one semester alone, POW has hosted 5 Speaker Series events, 2 collaborative events with other student orgs, and 3 speaker panels with a total of 14 career professionals from 7 different companies. In past years, we have visited Facebook, Dropbox, Twitch, Sephora, Pinterest, Ring Central, and ServiceNow for our Meet the Firms tours. Through our platform as a business organization, we help students bridge the gap between what we learn in the classroom and applying it to real world experiences.
