WOmen for Afghan women (WAW) 2021

Hello Gators! POW is holding a fundraiser to raise money for Women For Afghan Women (WAW). Join us in supporting women and girls in Afghanistan and New York who are fleeing or have fled Afghanistan and seeking assistance. There are a number of different resources that WAW is providing for the women and children such as basic needs, trauma-informed mental health counseling, education and social services, housing, transportation, and immigration legal support. While there is much work to still be done we can all help the communities that are in need. You can learn more by visiting the womenforafghanwomen.org

What is WAW?
WAW is a grassroots civil society organization dedicated to protecting and promoting the rights of disenfranchised Afghan women and girls in Afghanistan and New York. WAW relentlessly advocates for women's rights and challenges the norms that underpin gender-based violence to influence attitudes and bring about change.
